Mock Trial

High schools across PA are given an annual case with a plot, witness testimonies, and evidence ranging from forensics to text screenshots. Students take on the roles of witnesses and lawyers to analyze and argue the case. Competitions take place in a real courtroom with a judge presiding over the trial and a jury who determines the winning side - either the prosecution/plaintiff or the defense. The club relies teamwork, legal procedure and knowledge, public speaking, character acting, and some heated debates!
