Altar de Muertos

Students will have the opportunity to do crafts and create an altar together with Latin music playing in the background. We also offer students the option of bringing a photo of a deceased loved one to be part of the altar. What 's an Altar de Muertos? Is a ofrenda, or offering, that serves as a vibrant memorial during Mexico's Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) to honor deceased loved ones and guide their spirits home. These multi-level altars are adorned with photos, the deceased's favorite foods and drinks, marigolds (cempasúchil), candles, and symbolic items representing the four elements: earth, wind, water, and fire. Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de hacer manualidades y crear un altar juntos con música latina de fondo. También les ofrecemos a los estudiantes la opción de traer la foto de un ser querido fallecido para que forme parte del altar. ¿Qué es un Altar de Muertos? Es una ofrenda que sirve como un memorial vibrante durante el Día de Muertos en México para honrar a los seres queridos fallecidos y guiar sus espíritus a casa. Estos altares de varios niveles están adornados con fotos, las comidas y bebidas favoritas del difunto, cempasúchil, velas y elementos simbólicos que representan los cuatro elementos: tierra, viento, agua y fuego.
