Poetry Slam Team
2 points

The Poetry Team is a group of students who compete in poetry slams. A poetry slam is a competition in which students recite poems that they wrote themselves. The performances at a poetry slam are evaluated by a panel of judges and given a score on a scale of 0–10. All that is needed: a mic, a page, a pen, a stage. Any story can be told and all students are encouraged to give it a try. The majority of the slams, such as Louder Than a Bomb, occur during second semester so try-outs are held in November.
