Schnitzer Cares Club

Schnitzer Cares is a youth-led grantmaking program that gives students the opportunity to practice new skills, expand their networks, and make a positive impact in their communities. Student groups choose a community issue, review applications from local nonprofits, and interview nonprofit representatives before deciding which organizations to fund. Schnitzer Cares is designed to inspire students to continue a life of community service into adulthood by empowering them to give back to their communities from a young age. Link Crew has participated in this program as part of our class, and we hope to continue participating through an after-school club. To be successful, we are looking for dedicated students who want to make a positive impact in their community and are willing to work as a team to make a difference.
