SCOTS SPIRIT POINTS & REWARDS

 

At DDHS we strongly encourage our students to become involved in student activities as an excellent means to build life-long skills such as time management, decision-making, communication, organization, and leadership. It also provides a great opportunity to make friends and great memories while in high school.

SCOT SPIRIT POINTS 

Spirit Points are earned when you get involved on campus. Attend a dance? Earn some spirit points. Go to a fine arts performance? Earn some more spirit points. Go to a game & cheer on your fellow Scots? Earn even more spirit points!

Cool stuff happens on campus ALL THE TIME, so make sure you have logged into 5-Star on your Chromebook or download the mobile app to your phone.

 

How to Earn Spirit Points:

  • Win a Lunchtime Activity or Assembly Game = 5 points

  • Participate in Spirit Days =5 points

  • Attend a Sporting Event = 10 points

  • Attend the Musical or Band/Orchestra/Choir Concert = 10 points

  • 100% Attendance per grading period = 20 points

  • 95% Attendance per grading period = 15 points

  • 90% Attendance per grading period = 10 points

  • 3.49 GPA at Semester = 20 points

  • 3.5-3.99 GPA at Semester = 25 points
  • 4.00 GPA at Semester = 30 points

  • Earn Student or Athlete of the Month = 25 points

  • Participate in an athletic season = 50 points

  • Attend Dances = 10 points
  • Participate in band/orchestra/choir/theater production = 50 points

Check out the online Rewards Store on your 5-Star app or sign in to your account (click "sign in" above). Purchase your reward & a student council member will deliver it to your 7th period class.

The mission of the DDHS Student Council is to foster a positive and inclusive environment by representing the student body, advocating for student interests, and organizing events that enhance the overall high school experience. We are committed to empowering students by providing opportunities for leadership, service, and involvement.

A key component to fulfilling this mission is ensuring transparency in our actions and decisions. By making ASB meeting minutes and our constitution readily available to all students, we create a culture of openness, accountability, and trust.
