Poetry Slam Club

Poetry Slam Club is an opportunity for students to write and share their poetry. Slam poetry is poetry that is designed to be spoken rather than read in order to achieve the full effect. We practice writing and sharing every week in preparation to attend a teen poetry slam at the end of the semester. These meetings are open to all high schoolers and you can participate or just listen at the club meetings and at the actual slam. Our meetings are every Thursday during high school lunch in Ms. Schmidt’s classroom.
